Meet Dr. Whitney Smith

Dr. Whitney Smith is a native of Hillsdale County. She was introduced to chiropractic at a young age as a result of her active involvement in athletics. She had always known that she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare where she could help others. After experiencing the benefits of chiropractic care, she knew that it was the profession meant for her.

Dr. Whitney graduated from Pittsford High School in 2008. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Adrian College and Siena Heights University and has a Bachelor of Science degree. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, in 2016. Dr. Whitney graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a valedictorian of her graduating class. While at Palmer, she received the Academic Excellence award for being on the Dean’s List for all ten trimesters. She was also nominated for the prestigious Clinical Excellence award.

During her time at Palmer, Dr. Whitney participated in a Clinic Abroad trip to Brazil. While in Brazil, she adjusted hundreds of underprivileged patients and provided a great humanitarian service while gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

Dr. Whitney practices primarily Palmer Package which includes Diversified, Gonstead, and Thompson techniques. She is also trained in the Flexion-Distraction technique and adjusting extremities. Dr. Whitney is able to customize every adjustment to best fit the needs of each individual patient.

Additionally, Dr. Whitney has completed over 200 hours of post-graduate training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) in the care of pregnant women and children. She is certified in the Webster technique.

Dr. Whitney is married to her high school sweetheart, Christopher. They have a daughter, Keegan Mae, 2 dogs, and 17 chickens. During her free time, Dr. Whitney enjoys spending time outdoors. Some of her favorite things to do include gardening, hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

Dr. Whitney is an active member of the Michigan Association of Chiropractors (MAC) and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
